osman strauss split ep presents two great deep-house tunes by rahmi cihan & dj credes! >abgebrecht< on the info-side by turkish-rooted guy rahmi cihan is an outstanding shaker with a quote of german litterateur berthold brecht flowed by rahmi himself. >honz< on the logo-side by dj credes combines interplanetary groove, with a soulful speech of a beautiful jazz-queen, which create a deepkickin southflavoured late-nite hymn. rahmi cihan is busy in producing and playin music since over a decade now. being beatsport member since day one his contribution to this split ep is the well compromised result of long-year experienced flow including dark-dub vocals, major chords and echoing bells. >abgebrecht< for real can be described as ramis personnel signature tag of authentic dancemusic. dj credes was discovered by bespmusic in 2010 and now it s time to pop his cherry with >honz<. the house-addicted vinyl lover delivers a dark scattered bassline, funky claps and a resonant burning synth line. piano licks, vocal snippets and an acid line driven peak time speech issue proper instructions to the crowd.

10 years of killing sheep records and still no one can touch them, the original cross over dnb / hardcore label delivers this years definitivednb / hardcore release. tymon melds the genres with ease and even manages to pull off an epic dubstep drop amongst the chaos of massive kicks and snares. the dj producer rinses old skool breaks over the top of a pounding kick drum, plenty of intelligent drum choppage action.

after the huge succes of its tenth release (davide squillace & guti), hideout is back with with the third slice of the deconstruction revisited series. this time, crocodile tears, which appeared on davide squillaces tutti frutti ep (ho003) got offered three amazing relectures. it all starts with mr robert dietz (cadenza, cecille ...), who delivers a super modern and energetic relecture, where intelligent synthetic percussions mess around with weird noises and processed effects. after two minutes a monophonic synths starts its battle with vocals from squillaces original to end up on a more minimal groove. gflame aka portugese techno start cisco ferreiras (the advent) relecture directly sets the tone: a nasty bassline with a crazy synth stab flies over a soft but very heavy techno beat, to evolve to an elegant tech house track (no bongos involved). finally sis, the man behind cocolino imprint, reinterpretation starts with a long intro with the kick dropping after more than 3 minutes. the melancholic feeling of the track builds into a very subtile beat with reverbered elements all over. the percussion layers and delicate melodic synths add some organic flavour to the music so the 14 minutes remix is never boring and takes you to a nice journey thru sounds. you can tell somebody was in love when making such a beautiful song. another must have from hideout!

over two years ago already, we were announcing andres zaccos first ep on airdrop. the >seated hopping ep< had been sent to us by andres best friend, none other than el senor franco cinelli. needless to say, we fell in love with the subtlety of his music. fast forward until today and be prepared to be blown away by how much zaccos musical refinement has developed. swayzaks brun listened to the first sketches of this ep and immediately decided to give a go to the main track. the result is a conceptual treatment that reflects the advanced maturity of the swayzak sound, deep inspiration to most, if not all.

ashley gets low down and dirty with the southern rock giants the black crowes. their >i aint hiding< track was a real marmite moment for their fans. ashley (being a fan) turns the stonesy disco rock track (think miss you) inside out to create a psychedelic dancefloor wig out. already a big fave with the horse meat disco crew this has been one of mr beedles most requested edits/reworks over the last couple of years and he has decided to let this one out the vaults. its a monster.

3 years ago patrick & frederic started their marvelous career as kaiserdisco and made it to one of the most interesting acts in the global underground scene. they are not only a techno or minimal act, kaiserdisco is fascinating people all over the world cause they are producing music from lazy deep house to groovy techno, always with the right sense for the dancefloor. in the last years they remixed artists like booka shade, kosheen, extrawelt, sebastien leger, 2000 & one...., and had releases on legendary labels like drumcode, 100% pure, strictly rhythm, my best friend, global underground etc... and now it is time to start their own imprint. the first kd music release la famillia ep comes from kaiserdisco themselves. the a-side la benjamina is a typical kaiserdisco anthem. strong beats, groovy bass and a hypnotizing melody. you can feel it in every second of this track how much fun it was to produce this piece of music. especially the big break will make you go mad!! hija major on the b-side is a heavyweight techno layout. a massive rolling bassline catches you from the first second! the hole track reminds you of a fast rolling train packed full of wood. it rattles from first to last and when it falls into the breaks you can imagine it pushes the train even more and more and more...

following a landmark ep by pacou, and after mike huckaby paid homage to tresor records steeped lineage with his vault-dipping 20th anniversary mix, sights are set squarely on the future with the labels next release from fresh techno outfit puresque.
puresque is paul brtschitsch and mocca—paul whose discography stretches back to the mid-90s and is widely regarded for his sensitive sound arrangements both on record and live, and mocca—real name michael kunz- who has been simmering his sonic pallet on the berlin circuit over the last few years. they met over a mutual love of vinyl and entered the studio together with the desire to create something raw, as removed as possible from the synthetic feel of purely digital production.

in 2011 some berlin based recordshops try to reclaim the streets with the so called >record store day< for the first time in germany. also kann was asked for a limited vinyl to support their concern. on that specific occasion we bring a new two track ep except for the regular series. kann rsd breaks ranks with an extra beautiful edit of the awesome witchwaver sunglitters, composited by nuremburgs essay. b-side builts back the bridge to the label and gives finally >aperture< from sevensol & bender the appropriate space. the track was originally released on kann00 in 2008. for the artwork kann is pretty happy to won over famed – a chummy art collective – for doing an impressing independent work.

nrk music keeps driving forwards, always with a relatively wide palette of deep house and techno sounds, and nrk171 sees label boss, nick harris, deliver another ep of solid house material.

a return to vr from ben sun, who delves into deeper territory on the original cut, emotive analogue synths washing over a roland drum groove and a swirling female vocal, all underpinned by a warm, rumbling bassline. the flipside features some heavyweight remix work from the prolific deep space orchestra (use of weapons, art, delusions of grandeur) and label mate tyson ballard teaming up with vincenzo (poker flat, dessous). vincenzo and ballards mix is a heavy hitting, moody take on the original, with subtle, dark strings and a growling, evolving bassline, while dso round off the release with trademark fat drums and soaring melodic synth work.

rhein-main based tag team diggler & franksen go back some way in the history of frankfurts electronic scene. around 2000 diggler honed his reputation as a master of dubby techno for a whole decade. his early tracks like >boogiemonster< are blueprints of cool. period. today he is still rollin out crisp and deep techhouse beats that combine musical finesse, compositional tension and club appeal. having released about six albums and countless tracks and remixes for labels from raum…musik to cocoon and from resopal to level non zero, diggler is still on the hunt for the proper dose of beat hypnosis.
for their >morning blue ep< diggler teams up with frankfurts radio legend franksen who hosts germanys eldest dj show, todays you fm clubnight. franksen saw a string of releases over the last two years, collaborating for labels such as suara, dieb.audio, kommmitmusik, plastic city and more.

how the other half lives is a new label run by london-based portuguese dj and producer zntn. the label launches with on rushmore by the deadstock 33s and stopmakingme. the deadstock 33s - uk club legend justin robertson of lionrock and revtone fame, former hacienda resident and prolific producer over the years - combines forces with stopmakingme - the fabric/kill em all resident and bugged out! regular with recent productions on bang gang, codek and moshi moshi - for on rushmore and as you are. this marks their third collaboratory release, after an ep on tigersushi and single on gomma.

after successful remixes for oliver koletzki, niko schwind and animal trainer, its björn störigs turn to deliver the goods on his first solo ep, >humming top<. and boy, does he deliver: the fresh youngster presents high-calibre musical house, spiced up with funk, disco and jazz aesthetics. title track >humming top< doesnt waste much time: crisp percussive elements are laid over a beefy bass-line from the get-go, while a progressive piano melody mingles with a distinctly vintage synth.

raz ohara brings his unique style to kindisch, in the form of the >see it coming< ep. raz holds true to his style of layering ghostly vocals with haunting melodies coupled with ambient percussive elements. we begin the ep with its title track >see it coming<, a colorful blend of melancholic tones on a chilled canvas of percussion. as a perpetual melody drives, delicately laid vocals narrate the journey to the subconscious. next up we get >deeper<, as raz brings out the bass on this one. dissonance and vocal chops harmonize over a heavy kick

somewhere over western europe, an un-identified falling object crashed landed causing a massive bang, and a ginormous banana shaped smoke cloud. frederic, a local artistic young chap was so inspired by this hilariously funny giant cloud that covered the whole sky as far as he could see, he ran indoors to take cover, and wrote a little summer step d&b beat, called >laughing at clouds< – which seemed to draw a lot of attention. out of the studio window, frederic could see what seemed to be a pink giraffe giving it some serious head-nodding action. by the second drop leonard (the pink giraffe) was dancing so heavily that he caused a small tremor somewhere over in the states, where young up & coming producer melo seemed to pick up the transmission. while in his sonic laboratory he managed to transfer his latest project (affirmation) through the current, where frederic decided to make his first remix project, which pretty much made leonard pass out after all the summer stepping….
